If I could have rated the food and the service more than 10, I would. Ingredients used were of top quality especially the angus rib-eye which was so tender that any fat could have been taken away with a fork. Special care and attention was given to two of us as we suffer from lactose intolerance and coeliac disease. Once again, we were so happy that we had a choice of desserts and hot chocolate & coffee.

The food was great. Really recommend the Salmon and Duck. However, when the second time and took the chicken, and it was a bit cold. The ambience was very relaxed, and casual. Staff was really nice and helpful. Would go again for lunch.

I always enjoy going to the Bistro 516 and it is one of the best value-for-your-money restaurant at the Valletta waterfront. However, there are a few things I should point out. Although the food is always good, the way it is cooked and sometimes even what compliment of ingredients is used, is not consistent over the months, as if the chef/cooks change frequently. Another aspect which I hope would improve is service. While it is true that the restaurant is quite busy during the summer months and weekends, when waiters serve you they usually would be making it obvious that they're on the lookout for the next thing to do. This made us feel too much like another job for them instead of regular clients. Overall a good restaurant for groups and casual dining, but not really suggested for a nice romantic dinner.
