The food was delicious and the atmosphere was welcoming. However, the service was a bit slow - could be because the restaurant was quite busy for only three servers. Would still recommend it.

The food menu is vast and offers both chinese and thai food. Although the restaurant was full (saturday evening) we didn't wait that much for food to be served. Ambience is also very nice and welcoming. The only drawback that bothered us was the staff. Upon arival, we waited to be seated with waiters and the restaurant manager looking over us and didn't bother to come and greet us or ask us we have a reservation or not. Also, whilst eating some waiters needed to clear other tables. They used a cleaning spray (with a strong smell of lavender) that wasn't very nice to smell whilst eating . Other guests also pointed this out. Overall nice dinner!

Half a duck was more like quarter of a duck however on the other hand it was tasty as was the prawn fried rice, the noodles and the sweet and sour pork although not like the normal pork we're used to with the batter. Prices for drinks are extortionate and for a five star hotel the toilets need a facelift.

Food is good...But it would be great if they can give you free parking ticket..the waiters told us since were with gusto they dont give !!! we spent more then 60euro !!!

All was very good and authentic. Only minor complaint is that the half duck in pancakes was more of a quarter than half. Other than this all was great!

Food was quite good, but wine by the glass did not taste like wine at all. Which is a pity! Service needs improvements since the majority of waiter were very green.

We really enjoyed our dinner. Food was delicious and service was perfect as we were served gradually course after course smoothly. It made it more enjoyable. We would have loved to be seated inside as the ambiance was lovely however we loved it just the same. Thumbs up with thanks!

the atmosphere was delightful and the food, which we had the mixed satay and vegetable spring rolls, red curry beef and chicken with cashew nuts and also the strawberry cheesecake, was mouth watering. the only thing which bothered us was the singing from a local artist as we preferred the quiet ambiance. will definitely recommend it family and friends and will also be revisiting.

Best Chinese/Thai fusion on the island! Very professional staff. The ambience by the pool is simply out of this world. Not exactly on the cheap side, even with Gusto membership, but then you are talking about the very best! Well done Can Thai. Nobody does it better!

And the service - discreet, warm, super efficient and helpful, and with a cheerfulness that is absolutely genuine and sincere. I would have appreciated some music, but then - perhaps we did book in rather late. If I were to be a pest :) I'd say that I would have loved to drink the Chinese tea - which is what we always have with Chinese or Thai meals - from a cup that matched the attractively designed Asian teapots which the tea came in, rather than a characterless, plain white cup and saucer... but I am prepared to close an eye, seeing how perfect the meal was :) Thank you - as usual!

Food was delicious full of genuine ingredients and truly 5 star. Service was OK, but both service and ambiance (the latter especially) are definitely not of 5 star level.

We phoned to book and mentioned gusto and they told us that they were full.. To get another chance we phoned later and we didnt mention gusto and guess what?they had available tables..so before we hung up we mentioned gusto.. this is done by all fortina restaurants! We arrived at restaurant and we found it almost empty... Waitress took long to order..and we were fixed to order 2starters..2dishes from main course..and 2sides... We couldnt choose pecking duck.. Such a shame of a service!!! The only positive thing is the great satisfying food .. It was different from the ordinary fried chicken with sauces, can Thai serves sweet m sour chicken with broiled or else with to batter ...

Very good food... Everything was great except that guest that have the gusto are not given free parking. The hotel usually gives free parking to everyone that dine there but not to gusto members.

I go to Can Thai regularly...easily once every 3 months and have been doing so for the last 4 years. It is the best Chinese restaurant in Malta, by far. You pay for it, but I'm happy to pay for the unique ambience of the tropical garden and the exceptional, original food, some of which is unique to the place.
